Crepe Paper Luminous Luna Moth Workshop

RICHMOND HILL | SATURDAY APRIL 18, 2026 @ 10AM-1PM

Step into a quiet, creative morning and welcome Spring by crafting your own Luna Moth using crêpe paper and wool. The Luna moth – often mistaken for a butterfly – is a striking night moth known for its soft green colour and long, graceful wings, symbolizing renewal and transformation. Crêpe paper is a uniquely textured, stretchable material that can be shaped and sculpted into lifelike forms. In this workshop, guided by artist-instructor Jessie Chui, you’ll colour delicate kozo paper for luminous wings, shape fluffy wool to mimic natural moth fur, cut fine antenna details, and assemble a finished hanging piece ready for display. By the end of the class, your Luna Moth will be ready to rest on your wall, suspended with wire and mounted using a European push pin. This class is perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike. All tools and materials provided upon payment of $15.00 Materials Fee to instructor at workshop. Please bring a pair of sharp scissors.
