I once grew this in my garden.

Over the years, I’ve worked on perfecting the colouring and details of this decorative dahlia. I once grew these Sweet Nathalie dahlias and I was at once fascinated by its unique colouring. Some are mostly ivory in colour, some have a lot of pink in them, and some are a mix of the two. They coordinate wonderfully with other blush-coloured or ivory-cream-coloured flowers like Cafe au Last Dahlias or garden roses. They even work well with my pink-purple dahlias. Their spiral pattern creates tons of textural interest and creates a depth in the silhouette of the flower that no other flower can imitate. My formula and technique has never failed me. I've made them in different colours - dark and moody, pale and sweet. Every time I make these dahlias, I finish with the same ultra-realistic results.

FAQ

  • What type of tools & materials do you use in this course?

I use mainly crepe paper as my main medium, which you can purchase online at various suppliers. My favourite suppliers are listed in the Toolbox section. I also use stem wires and sometimes floral tape which can be purchased at floral supply wholesalers, baking/cake supply stores and even big box stores like Michaels and Joanns. Everything else can be easily purchased from art or craft stores, online, or you likely have them at home. For most materials, I provide direct links to where you can buy them inside the course.

  • When does the course start and finish?

The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.

  • How long do I have access to the course?

The short answer - Forever. The long answer - You’ll have access to the course videos and content forever as long as Crafted to Bloom exists, even if the online course platform changes.

  • Do you offer any refunds or guarantees?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of digital products, I cannot offer a refund. That said, I just know that you'll learn something! I design every one of my flower online course so that I can share new and fresh techniques with you. I hate repeating myself.

  • I’ve never tried making paper flowers. Is this for me?

I’ll be honest - this is not a beginner’s course. It requires lots of patience and some adeptness with free-hand cutting, shaping, and assembly. I would not recommend this course if you have never made paper flowers before. Instead, I would recommend you try my Wild Rose Online Course or any of my "Easy" online courses so you can familiarize yourself with some of the basic skills and techniques without feeling overwhelmed with the skills and techniques taught in these more advanced courses.

  • I'm an experienced paper floral artist. Would I still benefit from this course?

I don’t know anyone who makes this type of dahlia the way I do (and if they do, they probably have my book ;) ), so I’m pretty confident that you’ll learn a new way of doing things. Also, I don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVE to watch other seasoned paper florists work and create. I always learn new tricks or new ways of doing something. It’s amazing how everyone does things differently. I’m confident that you’ll learn something new from my course too.

  • Can I sell the flower I make from this online course?

Yes, you’re welcome to make this flower and sell it. All I ask is if someone, like a customer, ask you how you learned to make the flower, that you could acknowledge that you learned it from me and give credit where it is due.

  • Can I teach this flower to other people?

If you know someone who would like to learn how to make this paper flower, I would ask you to encourage them to sign up for this course. Please do not share the access information with third parties. You paid for access to it, and so should they. I’ve put in a lot of effort to designing this course and the intellectual property connected to this course, the materials, and the techniques are mine. Similarly, you are absolutely not permitted to teach this paper flower for monetary gain without expressed written permission from me. If you are interested in re-teaching this paper flower I do offer licensing options. Read more about this in the Terms & Conditions page: https://www.craftedtobloom.com/pages/terms

WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING

"Jessie - I've been following along with the videos and working on this flower for the past few days. I just wanted you to know how impressed I am with the course content - the flower is challenging to create by the steps are relatively easy to follow and the outcome is very much worth the effort. I'm so glad you shared your tips and insights about how to create it. I couldn't be more pleased - (plus I preordered the book). Thanks!"

- Rod Rice

"My first #sweetnathaliedahlia following the long awaited course by @jessieatcraftedtobloom. Her instructions are so clear. You definitely know how much time she invested into this. And after knocking out a book at that!"

- Wendy Middaugh

"Thank you Jessie from @jessieatcraftedtobloom for the lovely instruction on these beautiful dahlias, I love their delicate and spherical shape. I choose to use 180 g crepe from @cartefinicrepepaper for this one and coloured the paper with @panpastel. I plan to bust out a bunch of these in some dark and rich colours for the holidays!"

- Holly Dionisi, EverFleur

"Then there were three! I love the process of creating these Dahlias from the batch cutting, to the petal shaping to the coloration! I can honestly say that photographs do not do justice to how pretty these flowers are! I've used a combination of papers on these and love them all! Thank you so much @jessieatcraftedtobloom for such a beautiful tutorial and for sharing your vast knowledge and talent with us!"

- Johanna Oliver, Black Tree Designs
