A COMPANION COURSE
I use a variety of crepe paper, specifically 90g and 180g Italian crepe paper, as well as German doublette/double-sided crepe paper. You can purchase the Italian crepe paper online at Cartotecnica Rossi (Italy), Carte Fini (US), or Crepe Paper Crafts (Canada); and the German crepe paper online at Rose Mille (US) or The Paper Place (Canada). I also use 24 and 18 gauge stem wires which can be purchased at floral supply wholesalers, baking/cake supply stores and even big box stores like Michaels and Joanns. Everything else can be easily purchased from art or craft stores, online, or you likely have them at home. For most materials, I provide direct links to where you can buy them inside the course.
This course starts as soon as you pay for it! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
The short answer - Forever. The long answer - You’ll have access to the course videos and content forever as long as Crafted to Bloom exists, even if the online course platform changes.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of digital products, I cannot offer a refund. That said, I just know that you'll learn something! I design every one of my online course so that I can share new and fresh techniques with you. I hate repeating myself.
To be completely transparent - this is not a course for beginner paper flower makers. This course will challenge you. Making the sunflower this way requires a high level of patience, ample finger dexterity, and lots and lots of coffee or tea (choose your poison). Emulating the disc florets (the centre) of the flower is tedious work. The results, however, are well worth it. You just need to temper your expectations and know that you will be spending a good chunk of time on it to achieve the results. Watch me demonstrate the work, then turn on an entertaining TV show to keep you company as you go through this meditative experience.
Absolutely! I promise my process and techniques for this flower are unique to me and you'll learn something new for sure. Anyone - including you - can utilize the skills you'll learn with a little bit of patience and effort.
No. If you are engaging with this course, you likely have plenty of paper flower making experience and a stash of crepe paper at your disposal. I recommend you use the paper and paints that you already have and mix it up.
Yes, you’re welcome to make this Sunflower and sell it. However, I encourage you to make it your own by making a few changes to the overall "look" of the flower. Also, if someone, like a customer, asks you how you learned to make the moth, I ask that you acknowledge that you learned it from me and give credit where it is due.
If you know someone who would like to learn how to make a paper sunflower sculpture like this, I would ask you to encourage them to sign up for this course. Please do not share the access information with third parties. You paid for access to it, and so should they. I’ve put in a lot of effort to designing this course and the intellectual property connected to this course, the materials, and the techniques are mine. Similarly, you are absolutely not permitted to teach this sunflower sculpture for monetary gain without expressed written permission from me. If you are interested in re-teaching this course I do offer licensing options. Read more about this in the Terms & Conditions page: https://www.craftedtobloom.com/terms-and-conditions
