Nasturtium ZOOM Workshop
SATURDAY AUG 22 | 10AM-1:00PM (ET)
Join Jessie Chui for a 3-hour virtual workshop where you'll create a paper nasturtium vine, complete with painted kozo paper leaves, two crepe paper flowers, and a finished piece ready to hang or mount on backing.
Nasturtiums are cheerful and sprawling, and this project is meant to lean into that same loose energy. You'll trace, cut, and paint kozo paper leaves, learning how to layer colour to bring out the veining and painterly quality that makes this foliage so distinctive. Then you'll construct two crepe paper flowers in the colour of your choice and assemble everything onto a vine with a hanging loop, so your finished piece is display-ready from the moment the workshop ends.
This is the perfect project for makers, artists, and crafters who want to explore botanical wall art and painting on paper. It’s also a great introduction to working with kozo paper if you haven't tried it before.
What's included: Written instructions and templates (available for download the week before), a 3-hour live Zoom session with Jessie, and a replay available within 48 hours.
What's required: To prepare for the workshop, you’ll be expected to pre-cut your templates and pre-paint your Kozo paper. Jessie will provide a video demonstrating how to pre-paint your Kozo paper by the beginning of August.
Only 20 spots available.
