LIMITED SUPPLY
I specifically use rice paper (or Kozo/Kozuko paper) in this course and I share an Amazon link of the specific brand/type I use in the course. However, you can also buy rice paper (any Asian paper) at many art stores. Also, I use a printer to print the outline of the moth onto the rice paper, so you'll need the use of a printer (preferably with colour). I do use a small bit of white crepe paper, but it's not entirely necessary. You'll need 30 and 26 (or similar weight) gauge wire, preferably wrapped in white paper, and these can be bought via Amazon or floral/baking supply wholesalers. Lastly, I use extra fine merino wool (19 microns) in a natural white and a burgundy/wine colour. I use wool top, but wool roving would work too. My favourite suppliers are listed in the Supplies booklet. I am offering a limited number of MATERIAL KITS for this course.
Yes I am offering a very limited number of Material Kits during the pre-sale period. I will not be making more Kits once they are sold out. You can buy the Material Kits here: https://www.jessiechui.com/workshop-books-and-kits-shop/p/luna-moth-material-kit
This course starts on Wednesday October 2, 2024 and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
The short answer - Forever. The long answer - You’ll have access to the course videos and content forever as long as Crafted to Bloom exists, even if the online course platform changes.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of digital products, I cannot offer a refund. That said, I just know that you'll learn something! I design every one of my online course so that I can share new and fresh techniques with you. I hate repeating myself.
Before I tried making a moth, I actually had a real fear of them! But I realized that conquering that fear would help me better understand their unique place in this world - and my own. Now I love making them because I've been able to streamline the process. There is no templating as I have already made the outlines for you. Plus, when I'm finished my moth, I can simply hang them on my wall to remind me of the journey making them.
For sure! I bet you your moth doesn't look like mine. I think you'll find it invaluable to see how I got from a flat sheet of paper to a full moth sculpture. Feel free to pick and choose which ones of my techniques speak to you and which do not.
Yes, you’re welcome to make this Luna Moth and sell it. However, I encourage you to make it your own by making a few changes to the Outline Template and to the overall "look" of the moth. Also, if someone, like a customer, asks you how you learned to make the moth, I ask that you acknowledge that you learned it from me and give credit where it is due.
If you know someone who would like to learn how to make this Luna Moth sculpture, I would ask you to encourage them to sign up for this course. Please do not share the access information with third parties. You paid for access to it, and so should they. I’ve put in a lot of effort to designing this course and the intellectual property connected to this course, the materials, and the techniques are mine. Similarly, you are absolutely not permitted to teach this moth sculpture for monetary gain without expressed written permission from me. If you are interested in re-teaching this course I do offer licensing options. Read more about this in the Terms & Conditions page: https://www.craftedtobloom.com/terms-and-conditions
